Scientific studies show that neuronal
activity of the brain reacts to
direction and orientation.
Research indicates that the direction
in which we look creates changes in
the pattern of neurons in the
thalamus which influences the entire
functioning of the brain and
ultimately the entire physiology.

The orientation of a building towards
east - to the enlivening rays of the
rising sun - has the most
positive effects on the residents.

Bridge between Individual and
Cosmic Life.

A Vastu building represents a
miniature of the Cosmos. It takes into
account the influence of the sun, moon
and planets on the earth and establishes
a relationship to the north and south
poles, as well as to the equator.

The individual is Cosmic by nature.
A Vastu building helps the human being
to bring himself back into resonance
with his Cosmic Counterparts.

The energy of the sunrise is greatest
and most vital.

In Vastu, the entrance to a building is
oriented precisely to due east,
to receive the nourishing influence
of the rising sun.

Thus, this orientation greatly promotes
the health and vital energy of its
residents.

From eight possible directions only
two directions – east and north –
produce wholly auspicious influences

The strongest influence of Natural
Law on the earth comes from the sun.

It creates the daily and seasonal
rhythms of life in all its forms. On its
daily path from east to west, the sun
generates different qualities of energy.
The floor plan of a house should be
designed in such a way that the
influence of these different solar
energies corresponds to the specific
function and activity for each room,

so that Natural Law always supports
every action in our daily routine.

Principles of a Vastu floor plan.
In each house there is an ideal place
for the use of the corresponding
space. As a result, every aspect of
daily activity is in harmony with the
universal Law of Nature.
The dining room should be where
appetite is strongest and digestion
will be most efficient.
The study room should be located
where the mind is most clear, alert
and creative.
The living room is where social life
is sustained by joy and harmony.
